This gorgeous bust of Weeping Mary was created in Belgium in the late 1800's. May be made from porcelain. It feels and looks like alabaster, it is not porous at all but creamy smooth to the feel but I feel it is too light to be alabaster. It weighs 2.15 lbs. and is 11 Inches high.
Gorgeous antique piece that I bought at an antique dealer's estate sale. She had wonderful European pieces. I have left her inventory tag on the back. Any darkening in folds of her hood were meant to be there. A few rough places also add to the beauty of this old piece. No chips
